Lynne Hobbs

I am so excited about another school year beginning! This will be my 25th year of teaching, and I am just as excited as if it were my first. I absolutely love my job!

I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with Bachelor’s degrees in Elementary and Middle School Education and Hearing Impaired. I earned my Learning Disabled degree and Master’s degree in Reading from Salem College, and I am Nationally Board Certified in the area of Special Education.

I have the pleasure of working with your child this year as the Exceptional Children’s Hearing Impaired Itinerant Teacher. I will be providing services for your child as determined by their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Each student works toward mastering their individual goals.  The areas of communication that we focus on are language, audition, vocabulary, amplification and self advocacy skills. The Auditory-Oral Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program strives for your child to become a communicator through learning to listen and using spoken language.

A hard copy progress report will be sent home with your child's report card each quarter.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child’s education. I am here for your child, as well as for you!
