Class Expectations and Behavior

We will be using a clip chart to monitor student behavior. You will find a copy of the chart in your child’s STAR Notebook (please do not take this out.) Every day your child will start out on green.  Your child’s clip will move up the chart for good behavior and down the chart for negative choices and poor behavior. For each time that your child moves their clip up during the day they will receive a chip worth 10 points. We will use our place value knowledge to make groups of 10s, 100s, and 1,000s to earn rewards. Blue is used as a warning and will not warrant a note being sent home, your child should be able to explain their behavior. If your child is on purple or pink for the day I will send a note in their agenda explaining their behavior. If they move to pink, we will call home/work to have you speak to your child. I will color in a circle for their behavior each day in their agenda. Please check this each day and sign.
