Coronavirus Plan - Specific Southwood Elementary Information
Each child brought home a letter from Dr. Lipe today with a Coronavirus Plan attached. As the letter details, we are currently at Level 2 of the plan. DCS plans to operate at this level for 30 calendar days. Please note the important points of this Level 2 plan below as they relate to Southwood Elementary:
Visitors will not be allowed in the school. This means that parents cannot come eat lunch with their children or volunteer in classrooms.
All parent conferences will be conducted by phone.
Kindergarten registration night, the Spring Book Fair and our Spring parent night will be rescheduled.
All after school activities and clubs are canceled.
All remaining field trips have been canceled. Information for how to request a refund for the trip will be sent next week.
Outside groups including churches and the boosters club cannot meet at the school.
The Elementary Robotics Competition has been canceled. An alternate plan is in the works.
The Elementary Battle of the Books competition has been postponed. Once a new date is set, we will let you know.
