Meet Mrs. Crotts
ALL ABOUT: MRS. CROTTS
My name is Mrs. Amber Crotts, and I’m proud to serve as the Library Media Coordinator at Southwood Elementary School. I grew up in Midway and graduated from North Davidson High School before heading to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After finishing my degree, I returned home to Midway and began my teaching career as a 7th grade teacher at North Davidson Middle School.
Along the way, I earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Grand Canyon University, and later decided to pursue my passion for libraries. I went back to school once more and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science. Now I get to spend my days helping you discover books, stories, and new things to learn—I think that’s the best job ever!
I have been married for fourteen years to my wonderful husband, Adam, and we live in Lexington. I love spending time with my family, being outside, reading, searching for antiques, technology, learning to crochet, and traveling. My favorite color is purple and I like unicorns, Hello Kitty, Pete the Cat, & of course, dogs!! I am so excited to be here and I look forward to working with you this year.
